Why we love it
A small downtown museum in Mount Dora's 1923 fire station and city jail on Royellou Lane, between Fourth and Fifth avenues. Exhibits cover local life from the 1880s into the early 1900s—citrus, home life, hotels, schools, and churches—and you can still walk through the restored jail cells. Run by the Mount Dora Historical Society; admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students.
